Job Description:

Mancan is currently looking for a Lab Tech for a local company in Fort Myers, FL.Job Summary: The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for weighing and manufacturing batches according to formula recipes and operating procedures of manufacturing equipment. Weighing and charging materials to reactors and treatment vessels.Role Responsibilities: Accurately weigh ingredients following specific formulas and operating procedures Learn and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in daily work continuously Clean and sanitize all necessary manufacturing equipment o Careful disassemble and reassembly of equipment Proper detail to documenting all actions with ingredients and formulas according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Monitor and maintain equipment by adjusting controls, cleaning startup and shutdown Conduct laboratory tests and record results, such as pH, temperature, particle analysis, etc Timely reporting of any discrepancies Follow quality service standards, complying with procedures, rules and regulations Perform other duties, as assigned. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind the work assignments of this position as business needs warrant.Competencies: Quality control Dependability Safety & security AccuracyQualifications / Requirements: Education / Certifications: At least one year of manufacturing experience preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalentExperience / Abilities: Attention to detail Awareness of work environment and products; reporting products not in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Ability to work in a team environment Ability to count and document workTravel and Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5 PM Travel is not required for this positionPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
