Accounting AssistantTyson Eye is currently seeking a full time Accounting Assistant to join the team! Employment at Tyson Eye is not simply a job; it is the beginning of a career for the right candidate.This position is based out of the South Fort Myers Office and reports to the Accounting Manager.Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Accounts Payable/ReceivableMonth End CloseDaily Deposits/TransfersReconciliationsLog outgoing optical packages and send out for distribution.Processes discontinued and warranty optical frame returnsSchedules, conducts and performs inventory auditsCoordinates and logs the reallocation of frames between practice locations.Preferred Education and ExperienceBachelor's or Associates degree in accounting or equivalent experienceKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Knowledge of internal controls and proceduresKnowledge and experienced in all related Microsoft computer applications: Word, ExcelProficiency in SAGE 100, or equivalent accounting softwareOptical or Ophthalmology practice experience a plusThe ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in EnglishShows initiative and is a team playerExcellent time management skills and respect for deadlinesProblem solving skills and ability to work well in high stress situationsExcellent computer skills.Well-organized with attention to detail and have excellent follow-up skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Highly motivated and able to cross train with fellow team members for greater efficiency.Why Should You Apply?Opportunities for on-the-job trainingGreat BenefitsReasonable hoursOutstanding work environmentTyson Eye is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer that provides a drug and tobacco free work environment.
