Description If you're looking for work as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, Robert Half is hiring for a company in the Service industry. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements; the establishment and preservation of the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business; and all other general accounting and bookkeeping tasks. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in Ft. Myers, Florida.
How you will make an impact

• 
  
• 
  Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll
  
  
• 
  Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
  
  
• 
  Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules
  
  
• 
  Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time
  
  
• 
  Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections
  
  
• 
  Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents
  
  
• 
  Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions
  
  
• 
  Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements Requirements - High school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
  
  
• 
  3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
  
  
• 
  Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
  
  
• 
  Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
  
  
• 
  Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
  
  
• 
  Strong organization skills
  
  
• 
  Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required
  
  
• 
  Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
  
  
• 
  Prior experience with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree
  
  
• 
  Prior payroll experience preferred
  
  
• 
  Strong familiarity with month end closings
  
  
• 
  Payroll experience required
  
  
• 
  Accounts Payable (AP) experience
  
  
• 
  Financial Statement experience desired
  
  
• 
  Budgeting experience
