Job Description Position Information Job TitleOPS Office Assistant, Continual Education - Punta Gorda Herald Court Center Job Description The Office Assistant will perform administrative duties such as provide customer service and AV/technology setup for continuing education programs at the FGCU's Punta Gorda location at Herald Court Center. Interacts with departmental administrative staff on main campus. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience providing administrative support and customer service. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited institution. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities All employees are expected to: - Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment. - Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manual related to the job tasks. - Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies. - Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment. - Present a professional image in word, action and attire. - Demonstrate professionalism in dealing with a diverse population while understanding and respecting each other's view of the world, personalities and working styles. - Apply effective techniques to create working relationships with others to achieve common goals; successfully communicates and collaborates with others to achieve goals. - Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and processes critically to make recommendations for improvement. Physical Demands Salary Range$10.00 per hour Job Duties Essential Job Duties *Coordinates continuing education programs such as catalog preparation and proofing, student registration, collecting payments, evaluations, opening/closing the center, and scheduling and setting up room reservations. *Provides general administrative support. *Prepares reports, business letters, and general correspondence. *Maintains program calendars and monitors registrations for offerings. *Coordinates and/or assists with departmental marketing and catalog distribution. *Establishes and maintains both paper and computer-based files. *Interacts with off-site learning centers and coordinates programs. Other Duties * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
