Leading a team of Opticians, the Optical Manager is a key team member in assisting Quigley Eye Specialists in providing full-service eye care to the community.Primary Responsibilities:Develops and manages budgeting and forecasting of sales; assessing economic trends and community needs.Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as: Gross Sales, Net Sales, Inventory Cost, # of frames in Inventory, # of frames sold, Complete pair %, Scratch warranty remakes, Lab remakes, Remake %, Net collections per FTE, Cost of Goods Ratio, Operating Expense Ratio, Script Capture Rate, Number of Jobs Completed, Average Cost of Goods Sold, etc.Responsible for achieving sales targets in Quigley Eye Specialists Optical Stores by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing and proper signing.Develops relationship with the various sales representatives/vendors to ensure optimal spend for inventory.Develops incentive/rewards programs for Opticians to motivate and stimulate multiple sales.Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer/Patient service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer/Patient needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and standardsEnsures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Optical Stores, analyzing and interpreting reports; implementing and monitoring asset/inventory protection and safety controls;Develops and implements action plans to improve performance providing direction and guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives;Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and providing recognition to retain a high performing Optical teamEnsures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating customers, selecting products based on customer needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair and maintaining Optical equipment.Managing inventory and ensuring accurate inventory counts on a regular basis.Provide reporting and analytics to Leadership regarding achievement of Optical goals and performance targets on a regular basis.Other related duties as assigned.Required Qualification:5+ years of retail management experience required5+ years of Optical retail environment with multi-store responsibility requiredProficient in all Microsoft Office applications; Word and Excel highly proficientExperience with medical office software; Allscripts, Medflow, EyeMD, Foxfire, FlexSys preferredStrong interpersonal and organizational skills.Excellent customer service skills.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Travel:Must be able to travel to different SWFL optical locations, as needed for the management of store needs, training, or management.Other Skills and Abilities:The use of kindness, empathy and patience when dealing with our patient populationAttention to detailAbility to multi-taskAbility to work as a team memberCooperates and effectively communicates with all staff members and physiciansabout patient matters.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
