The Director of External Partners is responsible for overseeing all activities relating to researching, designing and developing growth strategies based on contracted health plan products as well as strategy for growth and retention. Responsibilities include completing market research to find out more about contracted health plan competitor products and customer needs, and coordinating with the business development team to identify potential product opportunities and risks. A Director, External Partners should have a passionate dedication to understanding health plan products and a desire to work with peers that inspire and educate them on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities:
Obtains contracted health plan product market share by working with Health Plan Partner/Broker Agency Partners to develop product strategies
Develops strategy based on product offerings to drive growth initiatives and how to market and promote the strategy to the public and sales distribution channels
Performs analysis of company's contracted health plans to competitor's products in order to assess competition in the market
Deliver strategy plan for market to leadership including analyses and reports and responding to questions and requests from management
Analyze and adjust activity to maintain growth opportunities and minimize attrition
Responsible for providing market based data and competitive analysis to management for preparing short-term and long-term forecasts
Promote MA growth throughout the various broker sales channels. Serve as point of contact for the company within the broker community, leading contracted and independent broker - -agency activity
Collaborate and execute opportunities for brokers to meet with employed and contracted providers
Collaborate and communicate with the employed and contracted providers to establish a baseline understanding of core offerings and benefits of MA membership. Continually educate providers to support member enrollment and retention
Develop deep understanding of MSO and Payer competition and their strategic implications
Responsible for the execution of sales plans with Health Plan Partners
Identify and develop relationships with new Agency partners
Develop playbook for sales distribution channel related to contracted and employed practices
Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field required. (Four additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree)
5+ years of experience with sales and business development with at least four of those years in a management capacity required
Previous marketing, communications, and/or sales experience within a health care environment
Experience working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with tight deadlines while playing close attention to details of all deliverables
Experience with the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including targeting market sectors, features-benefits-solutions selling, cost per response, cost per conversion, etc
Detail-minded, results oriented with positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality
Proven leadership and team-building abilities, strong leader, with solid coaching skills, keen judgment and problem solving skills
Solid interpersonal skills, high energy and enthusiasm, with ability to thrive in a collaborative, high performance and action oriented team environment and help resolve any impasses during a project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget
Must possess a thorough understanding of industry best practices, and have a good command of the English language
Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, desktop publishing
Willingness to travel up to 50% (region covers Ft Myers, Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Treasure Coast)

Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and experience with CMS guidelines and or the health care field
Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency preferred
