Job Description:
As the Director of Professional Standards, you will maintain a
standard of professional conduct, performance, and equity among
District employees as it relates to their work, students, and the
community.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Seven (7) years of management experience, including planning,
organizing, directing, staffing, and overseeing large budgets.
Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Skill in promoting an understanding of all equity issues, e.g.,
race, disability, gender, etc.
Ability to understand ordinances and laws in order to develop
recommendations regarding District interaction with governmental
agencies.
Skill in continuous improvement processes such as quality, best
practices, and interest-based problem solving.
Oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard computer
applications
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate policy requirements and monitor the implementation of
the School Board's equity, diversity, and unitary policies.
Perform periodic audits to ensure the District is in compliance
with equal employment and equal educational requirements and
prepare findings to report to the School Board.
Provide in-service training to ensure employee compliance with
federal, state, and local regulations related to issues including,
but not limited to, sexual harassment and equity.
Conduct investigations in a timely and consistent manner and
resolve complaints of unfair employment or educational practices
that involve discrimination.
Serve as the District's liaison to the Florida Department of
Education Office of Equity and Access and train equity
representatives in schools and District departments/divisions.
Monitor student and instructional personnel data to ensure
compliance with the Florida Educational Equity Act.
Provide leadership by coordinating, training, and serving as a
resource to the school-based equity coordinators.
Initiate recommendations for updating School Board policies
regarding civil rights laws.
Review and make recommendations for equity in athletics and other
school activities.
Direct all activities related to fingerprinting and pre- and
post-employment feedback.
Serve as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) hearing officer
as needed and make recommendations.
Review and analyze professional standards and equity data and make
recommendations.
Salary: Base salary is $93,995.37
