effective Director of Sales and Marketing to be an integral part of
our executive team. The successful candidate will drive performance
and growth with responsibility for sales and marketing strategy;
monitor and analyze execution against corporate goals and manage
budgets.

Essential Functions
SALES
Develop plans and strategies for developing a business that
achieves the company's sales goals and define optimal sales force
structure.
Define processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify
improvements where and when required; develop and coordinate sales
selling cycle and methodology.
Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and
profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business
developments, and monitor market trends.
Create strategies to drive profitable sales growth in new and
existing customers; new and existing product lines; new and
existing markets.
Strong analytical skills including providing all fiscal management
around budgeting and performance impacted by Sales.
Hire, develop, oversee/manage sales team personnel; manage
compensation and incentive programs that motivate the team to
achieve and deliver targets/goals and profitable growth.
Lead by example and advocate our company values to continue
building the Storm Smart brand.
Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as
budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, or
return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
Participate in critical decisions as a member of the senior
leadership team and builds effective relationships with company
senior executives.
Closely partner with peers and leaders in engineering,
manufacturing, supply chain and quality to create an environment
that delivers world-class customer experience, employee experience,
operational excellence, and technology development.
Highly skilled in change management practices and driving
organizational process improvements.
Prioritize changing demands, multi-tasks, and creatively meets
tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
MARKETING
Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team.
Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that exceed core
business objectives.
Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and
interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market
forecasts and reports.
Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategies and/or
materials, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market
characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
Direct and oversee the company marketing functions to identify and
develop new customers for products and services and take
responsibility for annual marketing plan, strategy, and team.
Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing
opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development.
Manage marketing budget and expenditures
Plan and coordinate public affairs, and communications efforts, to
include public relations and community outreach; participate in the
development of new project proposals.
Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing
and communications channels.
Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings
to promote the company.
A deep understanding of the storm shutter, window & door markets,
competitors, prospects, market trends, opportunities, and
competitive challenges.
Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives,
policies, and operating procedures.
Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and
communications materials.
Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings
to promote the company.
Develop a multi-faceted go-to-market strategy to build brand
awareness and sales leads which includes web, email, and social
media campaigns, trade shows, advertising, press, and other
developing marketing initiatives
Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning
and devise counterstrategies
Build long term relationships with employees, clients, government
officials, and stakeholders
Travel for in-person meetings with customers, press, and partners
and to develop key relationships including industry events and
trade shows
Hold regular departmental meetings to review strategic goals and
initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths
for team personnel.
Track and report team activities, leads, opportunity pipeline,
win-loss, and attrition.
Provide regular feedback and mentoring to team regarding
performance, educational and personal development as well as
professional advancement.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing,
communications, public relations, advertising, or related
field.
10+ year's senior sales/marketing experience with 5+ years of
management experience required.
Experience within the building and construction industry is
essential.
Expert knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue
expectations.
Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns,
and successful public relations efforts.
Proven ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials
within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several
projects.
Highly proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel and Outlook) and related accounting and ERP
software.
Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory
issues.
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and have
foresight into potential issues.
Demonstrated ability to work comfortably under pressure and can
multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules,
information, and can handle high volumes of email correspondence
effectively and efficiently.
Strong decision-making skills, problem-solving abilities and be
self-directed/self-sufficient.
Excellent written, verbal, phone, email, and in-person
communication and interpersonal skills.
