Position Summary: The Deposit Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management and strategy of the bank's deposit operation function including electronic banking, item processing, wire, and ACH origination, and treasury management services. In addition to the Deposit Operations Manager ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, he or she is expected to assess the existing environment and implement solutions to help streamline and/or automate processes leading to improved controls, quality, and efficiencies. Essential Job Functions: Leads the strategic process for improvement and efficiencies within the department and in banking. Has oversight of deposit operations policies and procedures and insures adherence to regulatory requirements.Ensures the deposit operations specialists have the proper training and knowledge to support a high-performing bank and trust company.Explores new offerings and services to improve processes and productivity.Ensures compliance with all Federal and State government laws and regulations.Has oversight of external audit requests for electronic banking, deposit compliance, deposit operations, and ACH to achieve satisfactory audit results.Provides monthly reports to the Board of Directors regarding trends, risk management, and mitigation. Education, Experience, and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or other related field or in lieu of a degree, a requisite amount of Deposit Operations experience is requiredMinimum 10 years of Deposit Operations experience requiredMinimum 5 years of managerial/leadership experience in deposit operations or banking functions requiredStrong knowledge of Banking Laws/Regulations and understanding of how these relate to Deposit Operations ManagementProficiency in writing banking proceduresExcellent verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate to others in an accurate, well-organized method that achieves desired resultsStrong background in accounting and finance-related functionsExcellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsStrong analytical skills and attention-to-detailStrong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Proficiency in project managementAbility to perform a variety of tasks and remain flexible in a changing environmentADA Job Description: The physical requirements and activities described herein are representative of those that the employee in this position must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There is frequent repetitive motion which requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. This position may occasionally require that a person climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, grasp and/or feel. Visual Acuity Requirements. Close visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus, with or without correction, are required to perform activities such as, viewing a computer monitor or written materials and documents; reading; writing; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; close visual inspection. Some distance vision and color vision may be necessary. Environmental Conditions.
