Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory.Summary:The Associate Director/Senior Product Manager (SPM) - Next Generation Sequencing is accountable for optimizing the value of our Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) portfolio by working cross-functionally and with the marketing team to ensure effective life cycle management and best in class launch plans.SPM will have personal responsibility to manage the NGS product portfolio, including necessary product updates to ensure it meets and exceeds customer expectations in light of the competitive dynamic. SPM will continuously analyze the NGS portfolio and develop strategies and tactics to support client uptake.The SPM will use voice of the customer, market data, competitive intelligence, and literature to recommend new products and maintain and enhance existing ones, monitor business and service levels, develop marketing messages, content, and goals, and serves as the product expert in support of sales and internal customers.The SPM will be responsible for representing the Marketing Team in the Assay Innovation, Development, Commercialization process relative to NGS. This is a technical role requiring knowledge of laboratory testing, biotechnology, and or cancer biology.Responsibilities:

  • Lead NGS product life-cycle management, including prioritizing the launch of new products/enhancements
  • Co-lead with the Associate Director of Marketing and Promotions the NGS product positioning and message development through development and execution of best-in-class product launch and marketing plans.
  • Investigate, compile & synthesize market data, trends, customer attitudes and behaviors, and the competitive landscape, to maximize current and future opportunities and use market intelligence in market planning and decision making
  • Develop product forecasts and financial forecasts for NGS portfolio
  • Work with sales leadership and sales team members to see clients, understand and prioritize customer needs, and gain feedback on proposed ongoing initiatives
  • Participate in sales meetings, seminars, industry conferences, and tradeshows to support customer engagement and insight generation
  • Drive the creation and delivery of sales training pertaining to RaDaR portfolio
  • Lead key marketing/ commercialization process improvement activities pre- and post-launch
  • Develop and implement sales enablement tools and tactics to drive new and incremental growth
  • Works productively and efficiently to achieve individual, department and company goals and communicates effectively with all levels of staff
  • Adheres to NeoGenomics core values, safety and compliance policies and proceduresCommercialization Responsibilities:
    • Marketing lead for commercialization of NGS portfolio
    • Collects, analyzes, and interprets clinical data and uses information appropriately to assist R&D with project decisions and prioritization.
    • Prepares and conducts internal meetings to support commercialization sub-team cross-functional activities (e.g. reimbursement, marketing, billing, operations, IT etc.)
    • Participate in Assay Innovation and Assay Development meetings as marketing leader of NGS portfolio
    • Prepare NGS Launch checklists and work with project management to drive commercial subgroups/projects where appropriateExperience & Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred; degree in scientific discipline preferred
      • 8+ years of product management/marketing experience
      • Laboratory or clinical diagnostics experience
      • Laboratory diagnostics, drug, device, and/or regulated product launch experience
      • Clinically minded driver that will take ownership of multiple simultaneous projects
      • Solid knowledge of clinical and/or laboratory market environment
      • Proficient with MS Office programs.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to travel occasionally for off -site meetings, tradeshows, customer meetings, etc.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
      • Travel approximately 25% -30%.
