Healthcare Representative, you will interview and advocate for
patients and their families to obtain maximum benefit coverage in a
hospital or healthcare setting.This position is full-time (40
hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have
flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our
normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary,
given the business need, to work occasional overtime and/or

Doctors way Fort Myers, FL.Primary Responsibilities:
- Interview patients in a hospital setting and work effectively
with hospital personnel to assist patients with obtaining maximum
benefit coverageComplete applications for state and federal
programs (including Health Exchange/Marketplace programs)Review
medical records and take all necessary actions to expedite benefit
approvalAdhere to company and legal standards regarding Protected
Health Information (PHI), Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
and Personnel Transaction Identifier (PTI)Maintain ongoing
communication with government agencies regarding the status of
claimsProvide updates and assistance to hospital personnel and
other Change Healthcare staff as neededMaintain documentation of
status of claims and client contract on Change Healthcare and/or
hospital computer systemsDetermine when to use a Federal, State or
Local program application based upon medical definition of
disability as it relates to body systems and to functions of daily
living, and information contained in medical records.Willing to
work in a fast-paced hospital or healthcare environment Other

- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)1+ years of relevant
hospital and healthcare experienceProficiency using Microsoft
Office applications (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)Willing to
travel to different facilities in the areaAbility to travel up to
25%Ability to work onsite at Gulfcoast Hospital 13681 Doctors way
