Job Title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician AssistantWe are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Internal Medicine Of Southwest Florida.Job Summary:The successful candidate will assist the Physician in treating patients, evaluating patients, taking history, and performing pertinent physical examinations. They will also provide post-surgical wound care and follow-up, coordinate care of patients, and record and ensure availability and completeness of documentation, reports, and imaging examinations.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physician in treating patients
• Evaluate patients, take history, and perform pertinent physical examinations
• Provide post-surgical wound care and follow-up
• Coordinate care of patients
• Record and ensure availability and completeness of documentation, reports, and imaging examinations
• Provide patient education, counseling, and instruction
• Facilitate supervising Physician referral of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, or other resources of the community or other physicians
• Dictate progress notes, history, and physical, and discharge summary
• Administer and/or order medication upon request of supervising Physician
• Initiate emergency measures on patients as required
• Perform chart review
• Provide in-service and daily consultation to clinical staff
• Initiate and monitor patients for special tests
• Counsel patients on preventive care
• Share on-call responsibilities with a supervising Physician on back-up
• Answer patient calls
• Adhere to office policies and proceduresRequirements:
  • Hold a current license in good standing
  • Maintain certification in accordance with Department of Regulations
  • Able to perform health care tasks efficiently and effectively consistent with patient's health and welfare
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Good diagnostic capabilitiesEducation and Experience:
    • Graduate of an approved program or its equivalent
    • Meets the standards set by the Board of Medicine
    • Experience in Internal Medicine preferred, but not required
