Job Description Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Eating Disorder Focus) BreakFree Therapy Services (Online or In-Person) – Fort Myers, FL BreakFree Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our growing outpatient practice specializing in eating disorder treatment. We are looking for a dietitian with demonstrated experience in eating disorder–specific care who is passionate about working within a multidisciplinary team and providing evidence-based, client-centered care for adolescents and adults. We believe effective treatment goes beyond symptom reduction. Our approach integrates clinical expertise with a holistic understanding of each client’s emotional, psychological, and relational experiences. We emphasize collaboration, authenticity, and empowerment in the therapeutic process, creating a supportive environment where clients can rebuild trust in themselves and move toward lasting recovery. Position Overview The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will provide nutrition counseling for clients with eating disorders, disordered eating, and related concerns. The ideal candidate is confident in assessing and navigating the complexities of eating disorder pathology and has the training and clinical experience to support this population. Roles include but are not limited to: Provide nutrition counseling for adolescents and adults with eating disorders and disordered eating Provide nutrition counseling for adolescents and adults with differing nutrition counseling needs Develop individualized meal plans and recovery-focused nutrition strategies Collaborate closely with therapists, physicians, and families Participate in case consultations and multidisciplinary treatment planning Maintain timely and accurate documentation Qualifications Expertise in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to support diverse dietary needs and health goals Advanced skills in Nutritional Counseling and to tailor plans that promote long-term wellness and recovery Experience in providing Medical Nutrition Therapy, including clinical assessments and care planning Strong collaboration skills and alignment with client-centered, non-diet recovery models Eating disorder-specific clinical experience required* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish trust and motivate behavior change Strong analytical skills for assessing nutritional needs and evaluating outcomes Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field, with active Registered Dietitian credentialing in good standing Licensure to practice as a dietitian in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain licensure) What To Expect Supportive, collaborative, genuine team environment Treatment Team includes in-house Eating Disorders Specialists Established referral stream within an eating disorder specialty practice Flexible schedule/hours 1099 contractor position Administrative and billing support Secure email and EHR Opportunities to expand services offered (as/if desired), including potential blogs, support groups, online resources, trainings, etc.
