Highlighted by an open kitchen, The Silver King Ocean Brasserie is seafood forward and chef driven with the freshest fare, approachable, and far from common. The atmosphere is understated elegance thats comfortable while providing a high-end dining experience. Silver King Server Assistant/Lobby Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to the Luminary Hotel & Co. service standards and standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development. Silver King Server Assistant/Lobby Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean and well stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required but focus will be on the support staff position. Essential Functions

  • Serves guests in an efficient courteous manner following the proper steps of service
  • Responsible for setting tables/Bar spots, serving food orders and removing used plate ware and utensils
  • Light food running when applicable, ability to carry plates that may be warm or hot
  • Ability to handle station, or when situations arise, ability to let manager/supervisor know ahead of time so as not to affect the guest experience
  • Polish glass ware, utensils, organize clean and soiled linen
  • Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests
  • Follow and complete procedures as they relate to In Room Dining (IRD), as needed
  • Organize items and needs to be brought to room based on order, as needed
  • Follow Covid-19 guidelines set forth for delivery, as needed
  • Any other duties as requested by management
  • Provide service to bartenders in a timely manner
  • Prepare all mixes and garnishes
  • Ensure proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine and consumable items
  • Keep bar top clean and free of dirty glasses, trash, etc. throughout shift
  • Keep back bar clean and organized
  • Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
  • Clean all spills immediately and place all trash in proper receptacles
  • Sweep and mop as needed
  • Empty trash as necessary
  • Assist with loading/unloading of miscellaneous equipment, such as boxes, food and beverage product
  • Maintain opening/closing liquor, beer, wine and consumables par
  • Ensure all stocking is complete, requisitions are filled out and any shortage of stock is reported
  • Provide guests with accurate and thorough information regarding menu items, pricing, and allergen information
  • Light food running when applicable, ability to carry plates that may be warm or hot
  • Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business
  • Respond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessary
  • Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a managers attention
  • Inform management of any complaint, comments or incident
  • Ensure nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed
  • Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management immediately
  • Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipment
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws
  • Maintain company safety and sanitation standards
  • Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned by management Qualification Standards Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or higher
  • Previous hospitality experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds or more
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Corrected vision to normal range
  • Ability to work long hours as needed Mental Demands

  • Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines
  • Able to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others
