Position may be 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts, would also
be required to work occasional weekends and holidays.
Completes a detailed clinical assessment via telephone to
identify the urgency and nature of the patients condition and
coordinates the appropriate disposition to receive healthcare.
Responsible for utilizing the nursing process and Evidence-Based
decision support tools. Makes complex decisions based on nursing
assessment, effective listening, critical thinking, advanced
assessment and communication skills are essential. In addition to
patient triage, the RN will facilitate other care delivery and
self-care advice as the situation warrants.
* Bachelor's in Nursing
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
* 3 years Nursing
* 3 years nursing experience in emergency medicine, medical
surgical, case management, ICU, urgent care, Outpatient clinics,
ambulatory care sites, or physician office experience required.
Formal or informal telephone nursing preferred.
State of Florida Licensure Requirements
* Registered Nurse License
* BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)
* Ambulatory Care Nurse Certification
