Position Description StandardAero one of the world aerospace industry's largest independent maintenance, repair and, overhaul (MRO) providers is seeking a Quality Control Inspector at its Fort Myers Florida locationBenefits Include:-Day shift Monday- Friday-Paid Holidays-128 hours paid time off annually-5% match on 401k-Medical, dental and visionDuties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned 1. Ensures that employees of the repair station are following the procedures established in the repair station manual, FAR's, (Federal Aviation Regulations) manufacturer's specifications and applicable customer instructions2. Provides general oversight of the shipping/receiving and stores personnel with an emphasis on compliance regarding applicable regulations and procedures as called out by the repair station manual and FAR's (Federal Aviation Regulations) 3. Performs inspections as called out in the repair process or as assigned by the director of QA/QC4. Assists with other duties as dictated by the director of QA/QC5. Maintains general housekeeping of workspaceQualifications:Education/Experience: A & P License, prior repairman's certificate with one or two years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences, to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organizationMath skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryReasoning ability: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problem involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer skills: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and quality control software.Special Skills: demonstrates versatility and ability to multi task, strong organizational skills in providing sample analysis, strong computer and data entry skills, ability to utilize mathematical and problem solving skills, able to follow direction and has exceptional listening skills Equipment: analytical laboratory equipment, common hand measurement tools, electrical meters, coordinate measuring machine (CMM) Physical demands: the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
