Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE* Oversees and contributes to curriculum development, data analysis, instructional planning, coaching and training for schools* Collaborates with school leadership teams and state team members to plan for and develop instructional implementation within the CSUSA Education Model* Supports the state team with development and facilitation of events and trainings, including but not limited to QuEST/MSA visits, Principal Leadership Academies, etc.* Manages and coordinates state-wide educational projects such as professional development, formal academic plans, budget priorities, renewals, etc.* Partners with state team members to strategically plan for school support aligned to school and state initiatives* Promotes the implementation of CSUSA's Education Model to ensure personalized learning for all students* Collaborates with various Support Center Departments and area leadership teams to promote a common mission/vision* Provides instructional coaching for Curriculum Specialists (CSs) to onboard, develop capacity and best meet the needs of the schools within their designated area(s)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Professional Development* Develop and facilitate in-person and mobile training for school leadership, curriculum teams and state team members* Conduct school support visits alongside CSs, fostering a coaching and mentoring relationship* Provides feedback to CS team members regarding development and facilitation of professional development, Quest visits, MSAs, and more* Fosters collaborative and supporting environments that foster relationships with leadership teams, colleagues and other stakeholders* Curriculum and Instruction* Facilitates the reviews and adoptions for instructional resources, programs, software and materials* Conducts research and development of CSUSA FL curriculum maps and assessments, and manages annual updates* Provides guidance and shares knowledge of the state standards, courses offered within the state, and all state assessments* Provides training and information regarding data sources, the disaggregation and aggregation of data, and how to utilize the data appropriately to drive targeted instruction* Academic Project Management* Manages the development and updates for formal academic plans, such as Reading Plans, Student Progression Plans, etc.* Contributes to charter applications, renewals and new school readiness planning* Provide support to CSUSA FL special projects and initiatives as requestedMAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDDISCLAIMERThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Must be detail oriented in multiple facets and drive projects to completion with follow through.* Computer proficient in O365 and MS Office, other technology devices, instructional software, and knowledge of successful implementation of each.* Delivers dynamic presentations that engage audience and participants.* Ability to consistently be at work, adding value, arriving and departing on time, to deliver clear instructions, respond to upper management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.* Ability to work with large amounts of data, to interpret data, to detect errors and prepare reports. Thinks creatively for how to best implement instructional plans.* Strong customer service and orientation.* Establishes excellent interpersonal skills between all constituents: being courteous, professional, and helpful; demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.* Broad conceptual perspective and forward-thinking on educational issues and their long-term impact on the schools and the company.JOB REQUIREMENTS* Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum & Instruction preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience.* 2-5 years related experience and/or training; Commitment to company mission, vision, and values.* MAC proficient: Microsoft Office (O365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), other relevant platforms/software programs, educational technology, and mobile communication device.* Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.* Ability to travel within Florida throughout the year (12-month position).WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter:* Usual office working conditions* Various school locationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS* No physical exertion required.* Travel within or outside of employment.* Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTSalary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORYJob is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.EVALUATIONPerformance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA's policy.DECLARATIONThe Charter Schools USA Human Resources Department retains the sole right and discretion to make changes to this job description.
