POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for assisting the HR/Benefits Administrator in reviewing, performing and completing all tasks in a consistent, accurate and timely manner as related to the Human Resources Department. Tasks to include, but not limited to; record keeping, pay adjustments, and employee group benefits. Helps maintain the HRIS (Human Resources Information System). Maintains all confidential information and assures all duties performed are in compliance with established policies, procedures, regulations and Federal, State and County legislation and codes. Position adheres to Corporate Compliance program, by reporting improper or unethical conduct, violation of applicable laws, regulations or program requirements.

DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Helps maintain the employee files.
Assists in receiving, verifying, and entering all employee/payroll information into the HRIS on a bi-weekly basis.
Helps to provides and maintain new information regarding corporation's employee benefit package and assists with communication of changes to the benefit package with staff.
Serves as back up contact for all staff with regard to benefit questions and personnel policies. Consults with HR/Benefits Administrator when appropriate.
Prepares appropriate forms and paperwork for new hire benefits, retirement and termination benefits.
Assists with updating the monthly employee turnover reports.
Conducts routine filing accurately and in a timely fashion.
Assists with Reconciliation of HR monthly invoices.
Receives training documentation through appropriate supervisory and management staff for employee's continuing education, and uploads to employee personnel files both electronically and hard copy.
Helps to distribute confidential Human Resources reports on an as needed basis.
Serve as a part of the HR team, helping on projects as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to work independently and carry out duties with minimum supervision.
Knowledge of human resources regulations and policies of the corporation and commonly held practices of personnel activities.
Exhibits Interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a wide range of activities, maintain extensive record keeping system and tracking systems.
Possess Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office, and HRIS programs.

.Requirements:

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent training and experience.
Two years of college education, or comparable HR experience.
Two years of Benefits experience preferred.
Advanced computer skills.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Trustworthy in handling highly confidential materials and information.
Flexible to other duties as assigned.
