Description:Now Hiring - Basic Machine Operator (BMO) or RadiographerLocation: Southwest Florida (Float) Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers, in Southwest Florida. We are seeking a basic machine operator with a passion to care for others in the communities we serve. For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience.Essential Duties for a Basic Machine Operator (BMO):Receives and follows directives and instructions from radiologists, diagnostic imaging center manager, and technical director to properly perform the position's functions.Calculates and selects proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, focal distance, etc., based on information such as patient age, physical condition, and suspected pathology.Schedules patient examinations according to physician's orders as directed.Explains proper preparation to patients prior to procedure.Develops mammography films and related dark room duties, in addition to understanding the CR system and equipment.In addition to a collaborative work environment, we offer our basic machine operators a generous compensation package:Competitive medical, dental and vision benefits plansLife and long-term disability insuranceThree weeks paid time off401k with a generous company contributionSix paid holidaysImaging services for employees and immediate householdAnd much more! Requirements: Basic Machine Operator Job Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required.Must possess current State of Florida certification as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator to practice medical radiography.Must have completed the required hours of continuing education certification or annual period, to satisfy State of Florida requirements.CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Radiographer Job Requirements:Required: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent hospital-based program.Required: Current ARRT and State of Florida license.
