To be the best, we want the best - best brands, best practices and, most importantly, the best people.Job Description The Warehouse Person has complete responsibility for the following Warehouse functions:Shipping, receiving and warehousing all raw materials and finished goods.Acts as support for the Production, Bakery, Topping and Sauce departments involving line suppliesand finished product.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES - List the activities you perform on a regular basis. Identify the major end result your position is expected to achieve for each of these activities.Performs daily safety and maintenance forklift inspection checks as well as simple forklift maintenance.Responsible for loading and unloading all inbound and outbound shipments, confirming counts of all shipping and receiving by reconciling with bills of lading and load lists. Accurately filling out all related warehouse and Q/A shipping/receiving forms.Responsible for raw material and packaging breakdown, set-up and promptly and accurately supplying the materials to the Production, Bakery and Topping/Sauce departments.Responsible for the prompt and accurate return of all raw materials at the end of the shift from the Production, Bakery and Topping/Sauce departments.Responsible to know proper procedures concerning Hold items and communicating with Q/A.Responsible for Freezer-In of all finished goods, verifying all paper work is correct on each finished pallet and confirming accurate counts of all finished goods going into the freezer.Responsible for the safe placement of all raw materials, dry and frozen and finished goods in the warehouse and freezer storage racks using the FIFO procedure. Responsible for recording on warehouse receiving and Q/A receiving forms, proper vendor lot code dates and vendor lot code numbers.Performs daily housekeeping duties in all warehouses, freezers and outside dock areas.Responsible for following all safety policies as well as plant and department policies and procedures.Responsible to work with Q/A involving FSI audits, adhering to FSQ guidelines, and supporting the overall QRMP process.Work in rotation with Shipping/Receiving and Freezer-In and be certified for all requirements of that position.Receiver Person must obtain a CDL Class "C" or higher driver's license. Needed for flatbed shuttling and deliveries/pickups.Responsible for receiving Invert Cane Syrup, Oil and Flour shipments.Responsible for all company vehicles reporting any repairs or maintenance needed to the Materials Manager.Responsible to check production schedule daily and make necessary changes in packaging and supplies to set-up as needed.Responsible for tracking all packaging inventory and advising clerk and Materials manager if not enough current inventory not on hand.Work in rotation with Shipping/Receiving and Freezer-in and be certified for all requirements of that position.Follow Safety Guidelines in accordance with Safe Practices and Job Safety Analysis. Participates in the WorkSafe Process.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES-What degrees or courses are required for this job? What type of and how much prior experience is required to do this job? Requires a considerable amount of interpersonal skills, effort, initiative and independence.2. 3 years previous warehouse/forklift/freezer experience preferred.3. Must complete company forklift training and safety program and be licensed.4. Ability to read, write and communicate in English and perform basic math.5. Ability to lift up to 49 lbs., push, pull and bend.6. Ability to work in adverse conditions including temperatures of -20 degrees F. for an extended period of time in the freezer and production room and 90-100 degrees F. outdoors.7. Ability to work overtime including week-ends and split shifts.8. Must have basic computer proficiency.9. Work with and communicate with all plant departments and personnel to maintain optimumSafety, quality and production standards.10. Have flexible work day schedule to meet the demands and requirements of production.11. Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices and basic USDA requirements.12. Ability to recognize and report ingredient and process non-conformances.13. Ability to follow all necessary safety precautions and prescribed procedures for the task at hand.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, the incumbent must have mobility to move around the factory and equipment, the ability to become forklift certified, read and write, lift up to 49 lbs., push, pull, bend, climb ladders, and work in a cold environment of -20 degrees F. and 90-100 degrees F.
