Job Description:
Production SupervisorReports to: General Manager/Director of
OperationsSummary: S upervises, directs and coordinates shop
operations in accordance with business unit objectives by
performing the following duties:Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.- Oversee all aspects of production floor processes &
procedures insuring quality standards, timely delivery and cost
controls are met to fill customer requirements- Analyzes work
orders to estimate worker hours and create shop floor schedules
that meet both internal and external customer needs.- Works as a
team member coordinating with Production Planning and Customer
Service to establish production schedules, plan workloads & ensures
smooth operations and flow - Interfaces with others in the
organization to ensure customer deadlines are met- Oversees and
assigns quotes and paperwork packages for each work order as
required- Interprets aviation manuals and job orders to workers,
and assigns duties- Develops, recommends, and implements measures
to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality
of product.- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of
equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work
crew.- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in
solving work problems.- Maintains employee productivity, monitors
efficiency & labor utilization- Identifies capital equipment needs
for the shop to improve quality, cost and cycle times- Identifies
and implements continuous improvement initiatives- Coordinates
plant and machine maintenance as required- Coordinates with safety
personnel/team for possible safety hazards, reports safety issues
to General Manger, follows all company safety policy and
procedures- Works closely with Human Resources in regards to all
employee issues- Investigate, document and or report production
problems and employee complaints- Directly supervises employees.-
Instructs technicians on work methods, company policy and
procedures and related topics- As required evaluates and rates
technicians on a periodic basis- Works with Human Resources to
maintains employee work/vacation schedules to ensure staffing needs
are met- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance
with the organization's policies and applicable laws.-

perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

essential functions.Education and/or Experience Associates degree
or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.- 5+ years in aviation
accessories- Fuel component experience preferred- 3+ years
supervisory experienceLanguage Skills Ability to read and interpret
documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical
Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units
of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryReasoning
Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability
to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.Computer Skills Must be proficient in
computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and outlook.
