roleReworld - Lee Facility Electrical And Instrumentation
Technician Apprenticeship ProgramPurposeAre you ready to be
empowered to create your career path? Bring your desire for
learning and operational mindset to our team as an Electrical and
Instrument Technician (E&I Technician) Apprentice. The
apprenticeship program is a 16-20 week program with Reworld, a
leading sustainable materials management company.While in the
program, you will develop in depth technical expertise by going
through an extensive hands-on training at a Technical Training
Center in Tampa, FL (a total of 8 weeks). You will also receive an
on-line training curriculum in addition, to on-the-job training at
the Lee Facility. This is a paid apprenticeship program and
apprentices will be eligible for travel and expense
reimbursement.Upon completing program requirements, participants
are prepared to step into an Electrical and Instrument Technician
position at our Lee Facility.We invite you to apply and discuss
your career roadmap with us!SummaryLearning will be varied based on
in-person classroom instruction, computer based training, and
hands-on training while under the supervision of a dedicated field
trainer or shift supervisor. Under general maintenance supervision,
the E&I Tech Apprentice, will assist in basic electrical and
electronic work in the maintenance of motors, control centers, and
electrical fixtures in support of the entire facility operation,
maintaining operation of the entire plant in compliance with
established production schedules and plant requirements, in
conjunction with National and Local Electrical Codes. You will
continue to build your skills and experience as you graduate into
your permanent Electrical and Instrument Technician (E&I
Technician) role.What your apprentice journey will look like:
- Hands-On Training at the Technical Training Center in Tampa, FL
(8 weeks)
- On-Line Training & On-the Job Training - Lee Facility (8
weeks)
- Assigned personalized E&I Tech, SME Trainer After
successfully completing the first segment of in-classroom training,
you will be assigned to a qualified E&I Technician, supervisor,
or trainer, to allow you to assist with installs, maintains,
performs PM's, repairs, calibrates, test, and adjusts any type of
mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and other industrial
equipment. Installs, repairs, and maintains all power transmission
lines, transformers, electrical motors, instruments, controls, and
related equipment. Assists with inspects, tests, adjusts, repairs
and maintains high voltage equipment, including but limited to
generator, AC and DC motors, as well as all plant switchgear and
related equipment. Assists with planning & detailing of jobs
assigned, using sketches, blueprints, schematics and drawings.
Consults with operations and technical groups on safety procedures
and job hazards.How you will impact Reworld:

Shift Supervisor and E&I Tech by accurately reporting equipment
malfunctions or trends which may indicate possible equipment
danger.
- Contribute to the Safety of the Operation and Team. Identify
critical trends that may indicate possible equipment danger and
support leaders by accurately reporting equipment malfunctions.
Follow all safety rules Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures
with respect to the storage and handling of materials in the
area.To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities to:
- Minimum High School diploma or GED
- Windows based PC knowledge including Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint
- Prior experience working with high pressure boilers, electric
generating equipment is a plus.Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to wear a full-face respirator and perform
physical activities while wearing the respirator.
- Frequently ascends or descends ladders, stairs, elevated
walkways, ramps, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and
arms.
- Will have to enter the boilers with or without scaffolding to
inspect boilers and check the status of work being performed.
- Position requires working near and around operating mechanical
parts and mobile equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and/or
humid conditions and vibrations.
- Capable of wearing personal protective equipment, such as
hearing protectors and respirators, as necessary.
- Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year - must be able
available for scheduled periods of on-call, weekend work nights or
any shift to support outages and plant equipment conditions.How
