*SUMMARY*Trains and works with existing customers in a limited territory and solicits new customers with the help of an experienced Sales Rep.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*\* includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.\** Assists and travels with existing sales team to learn how to maintain and grows sales territory following the guidelines set up by the Regional Sales Manager.* Travels throughout the Southern Region to call on regular customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.* Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and computer programs and emphasizes salable features.* Visits job sites with Sales Reps, Dealers, or Service Technicians to observe proper installation techniques to ensure product functionality and code compliance* Works with inside and outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.* Participates Home and Garden shows and trade shows when possible to display company products.* Maintains effective working relationship with Credit/Collections, Customer Service, Marketing, Service, and Transportation Departments to learn all aspects of customer experience from sales to installation.* Enters customer data for current customers into Sales Logix and Microsoft Excel.* Assists Marketing in administrating promotions and sales support to customers.*QUALIFICATIONS**: * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) from four-year college or university, and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of building codes and their impact on fenestration/room enclosures*LANGUAGE SKILLS*Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\*\**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS*Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.*REASONING ABILITY*Ability to make sound decisions with limited supervisionAbility to deal effectively with diverse types of people*CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS*None Required\*\**PHYSICAL DEMANDS*\*The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
